Our platform offers an opportunity for both business owners and consumers of the food industry to contribute and help lessen the food waste in the country.
First for the businesses, food that would normally just go to waste due to over production, estimation, or other cases would now be a commodity that they can sell.
This also has the benefit of marketing their products to would be customers that have not yet tried it due to steep prices, crowded places, unfavorable location, etc...
For consumers, this would be an additional option for a budget friendly meal and a chance for them to try dishes that they would normally pass on for a more cheaper option.
We normally eat at restaurants, food courts, fast foods, food stalls, and other food establishments and in a few instances we started thinking what happens to the food if the expected number of customers were not met for the day?
This prompted us to consider the creation of this platform to provide a way to help both side of the business lessen the amount wasted food.
